Indian Masala Chai
Indian Masala Chai is a black tea brewed with a mixture of aromatic Indian spices. In Indian culture, 'Masala' means 'a blend of spices', and 'chai' simply means 'tea.' So, Masala Chai is literally 'spiced tea'. Masala Chai tea blend combines any type of black tea (we love using the brand PG Tips) with some fresh cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, star anise and ginger. Anytime you visit an indian friend or family you are greeted with masala chai and other indian snacks. Our family tradition is to make some delicious chai on a cool Sunday afternoon with our boys eating lunch and enjoying our time sipping chai.
