We picked some fresh guavas from our friend’s yard and have been eating it all week. Today I am craving fresh sweet guava jam so I made this simple jam. What’s your favorite fruit Jam?

Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh guavas
- 1 cup date sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon grated ginger
- Sprinkle of cardamom

Instructions
- Cut guavas in half.
- Place in pot with water and boil for 30 minutes.
- Scoop out seeds with a spoon.
- Add guavas to blender and roughly chop the guava shells.
- Pour the blended guavas to the pot and add date sugar, ground cinnamon, cardamom and ginger in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally, until the mixture has thickened into the consistency of a jam.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until completely chilled. Enjoy!
