Jax Vegan Couple had the pleasure of volunteering at and attending the Tour de Farms in Jacksonville on November 19. Our favorite farm was Congaree & Penn, with it’s simplicity, natural lake, barnyard and miles of beautiful prairies.
What exactly is The Tour de Farm? The Tour celebrates local farms and local food and drink makers who maintain a commitment to good, clean, fair food for all. We had the opportunity to spend a day on-site at 15 local farms throughout Northeast Florida, meeting farmers, chefs and artisan makers. We asked farmers questions about food and farming and taste samples prepared by local chefs with local provisions.
